NanoFutures Participation - 42TEK is an active participant as an expert contributor in the European Roadmap of Nanotechnology’s program called NanoFutures. The project started in September 2013 and aims at developing an Implementation Roadmap of 4 value chains and their target products. The Roadmap will includes business modeling and planning for a set of pilot lines and it will involve strategic industry and other stakeholders. 42TEK participated in the delivery of the second value chain having deep knowledge in the area of nano-enabled depolluting and self-cleaning surfaces.

Graphene Flagship Participation - 42TEK also participates in the Graphene Flagship, which is the EU’s biggest ever research initiative; with a budget of €1 billion, it represents a new form of joint, coordinated research on an unprecedented scale. The Graphene Flagship is tasked with bringing together academic and industrial researchers to take graphene from the realm of academic laboratories into European society in the space of 10 years, thus generating economic growth, new jobs and new opportunities. Launched in 2013, the Graphene Flagship is, along with the Human Brain Project, the first of the European Commission’s Future and Emerging Technology (FET) Flagships, whose mission is to address the big scientific and technological challenges of the age through long-term, multidisciplinary R&D efforts. The Graphene Flagship is coordinated by Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden.

MIT Enterprise Forum - 42TEK was also awarded top finalist for eco-innovation company by the MIT Enterprise Forum in Spain in November 2014 and was also a finalist at the Everis Foundation in the category of industrial technologies in 2015 and was also invited to speak at the “Green Investment Forum”. 42TEK was also awarded the runner up at “Sustainable Innovator Spain”, 2014.

“Aquananotecnnology: Global prospects” - 42TEK participated in authoring 6 chapters in the forthcoming international release.  This year 42TEK will also contribute as co-editors to an upcoming volume titled “Aquananotechnology: Water Remediatiion and Aquaculture” and will also contribute to various chapters in the book which is scheduled to be published in September  2016.

El Mundo - 42TEK was acknowledged by “El Mundo” for its innovations in nano TiO2 as a water purification solution and has also been featured in several articles including publications in “Levante”, “Finanzas”, “APTE” Magazine and the newsletter “Confederación de empresarios”
